Thanks to much hand holding from the gurus on this list, I successfully assembled a new box. The mb is the Asus P2B and the CPU a Celeron 300A from Malaysia. I choose the Asus over the Abit board because I wanted to migrate 3 ISA bus peripherals from the old box. I have not yet changed frequency jumper settings which were already factory set to 5.5x (1 1/2) for the core bus, 66.8Mhz for the external clock bus and 33.8Mhz for the PCI. When booting up, the screen reports the CPU as Celeron (450Mhz). This suggests that the default settings are the correct ones for overclocking the 300A to 450Mhz. Is this right or is 66.8Mhz the wrong external clock setting for overclocking? Also, what would the right PCI bus setting be? As I don't yet have any PCI bus peripherals, this may be of purely academic interest at this point. Thanks in advance for your help.
