After a typical elimination diet (lamb, chicken, rice, broccoli, apple),
I went to classic paleo, and, after losing more of my dairy/gluten flab,
sensitivities and symptoms, I observed that:

1) I had a relatively phenominal fat intake -- and I didn't care.
Fresh almond milk, coconut whole & as milk: bring it on!
2) Any obvious carbo source -- starchy vegs -- was minimal to zero,
with no cravings for potatoes etc. after the first week.
3) I enjoyed dried meat (jerky) more and cooked meat less,
even with the loss in variety of presentation and recipe.
4) Fruits like apple became extremely sweet to the taste, but
not abhorrently so. A dried date or two now is as pleasurable
as pie or cake was before.
5) Even rice (organic brown or polished white) was not acceptable,
causing nasal/sinus congestion & sleepiness (but not the typical
stupor & inability to concentrate as after wheat).
   Score another for paleodiet!
