I'm curious about this. Would this be true of *any* substance a person had not had in a long time, or only of substances they were intolerant of to begin with? I've also heard vegetarians say that after a while off meat, any meat at all would make them very ill. Is it possible that even if someone *wasn't* celiac or gluten intolerant, they'd develop a reaction to a first re-exposure to wheat after some time without it? -- Angi
