<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I made a comment about ordering through Health Food or Grocery Stores to save on paying shipping and handling. Some people wrote me and mentioned they do this too and get 10% or some kind of discount for ordering by the case. This was mainly for companies in the USA to customers in the USA. Others said it sounded like a good idea and would check it out. One person said it's either cheaper or they break even when ordering food than going through their health food store. Their store is very small and is usually out of everything. I also received a very nice and interesting reply from Kinnikinnick, because it was their $15 charge that prompted me to encourage people to order through their Health Food store. I also said I had never seen or heard of any of their products. Well, their response explained why. "This charge is for us to ship door to door via USPS Priority Mail for our mail order customers. This shipping charge is subsidized substantially by Kinnikinnick and our shipping rates are actually cheaper than many comparable mail order companies that are shipping within the US. For many of our customers, mail order is the only way they can purchase our products. At this time Kinnikinnick Foods products are not available in the US retail market although we are in discussions with several major US chains. Overwhelming demand from people in the US who had heard of our products but were unable to get them caused us to initiate our US shipping program which began in May of last year. Since then we have been successfully shipping our fresh baked products throughout North America." They then showed some letters people had written and how appreciative they were for the food sent to them. I was impressed by the quality people said that the food was. I plan to try them out - even with a $15 shipping and handling fee. I have no ties in any way to this company. For info go to www.kinnikinnick.com and enjoy. Linda in Pensacola
