I was told by ChipMerchant http://www.thechipmerchant.com  that Intel is no
longer making or distributing boxed retail versions of the 300a ...so what
is left is all that is available. OEM 300a's however are still shipping.
The retail Box comes with a good fan / heat sink  as well as a 3 year Intel
warranty < note they aren't going to warrant anything you overclock >  so
it is reasonable to pay 15 to 25 dollars more for a boxed Malay version.
