Dear Trevor

I have had problems connecting parallel port scanners with HP printers.
Does the scanner work with the printer disconnected?
I ultimately had to use a switch to alternate the printer with the
scanner. Another solution is to install a second parallel port.
Also, is the parallel port on a seperate I/O card and not the
motherboard? If this, is the card firmly seated in the slot?
Just some possibilities
