Dear Trevor I have had problems connecting parallel port scanners with HP printers. Does the scanner work with the printer disconnected? I ultimately had to use a switch to alternate the printer with the scanner. Another solution is to install a second parallel port. Also, is the parallel port on a seperate I/O card and not the motherboard? If this, is the card firmly seated in the slot? Just some possibilities Joel Bluming [log in to unmask] [log in to unmask] On Fri, 22 Jan 1999 21:18:37 +1100 Trevor Gibbs <[log in to unmask]> writes: >Hi all, > >Have an unusual oprblem with a new scanner I bought... > >686 with 32Mb RAM and Mustek 600 scanner.
