<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Heehe, I know that subject line isn't very helpful, but I'm getting pretty impressed by the care TJ's is starting to take vis a vis gluten. They have a new line of cream soups out packed in the "asceptic box" packaging. They were giving out samples today of the Cream of Broccoli, Tomato, Mushroom, and Butternut Squash. In looking at the labels, there was no obvious gluten - and they were thickened with rice flour! The only possible problem ingredient was the natural flavorings. I asked about this, and the manager wasn't sure. But I wouldn't be surprised if they are GF, as I have the impression that the company is being careful when formulating new products, and is even "retrofitting" old ones, e.g. their "Chilli & Lime" tortilla chips didn't used to be GF but they are now. They seem to be very aware of the issues surrounding hidden glutens. When I talked to the woman handing out samples, I mentioned the rice flour and she said "oh, yes, so many people can't eat wheat, TJ's is trying to accomodate them". And the people tasting the soups were buying them, too! Laura
