I don't know about this printer, but a lot of inexpensive ink jet printers are not designed to be repaired. It is more cost effective to just replace the entire printer on the first breakdown after the warranty runs out. For example, if this same problem were to occur with the low-end Canon ink jet printer, the print head must be replaced at a cost of close to $100 (last time I checked on it).
