>1. What are the big advantages of AGP over PCI ? is it really worth the >hassel ? AGP runs at a faster bus speed and theoretically should be faster. Real world performance doesn't reveal much difference...however, AGP will support the LARGE texture games that are due out early next year much better. If your MOBO supports it, I'd recommend AGP--it saves a PCI slot for other use as well. >2. Is there a performance loss in buying the PCI version of the Matrix G200? See above. Though I don't the the PCI G200 is available yet. >3. Is it better/worse then a 3D Monster II with Matrox Millenium II.? According to most published benchmarks, the G200 is about 70% as fast as the Monster II in 3D and just a small bit faster than the Millenium II in 2D. Supposedly the 3D image quality is superior to the Monster II, so you have to decide on image quality vs. speed. >4. What is a good quality, but fast Hard Drive (EIDE/ATA) 4^ Gigs ? The IBM Deskstar are high quality, fast drives. You won't be disappointed with any of their newer models...Plus up to 15 gig! Dan Shaughnessy ----- **Need help with PCBUILD mailing list?
