Please allow me to introduce myself as a final year University student
currentlyreading Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of
Malta.
I am currently reseaching information regarding my dissertation which is
about crack stitching in masonry and/or concrete.This involves the repair =
of
blocks or slabs.The process involves coring into the material and insertin=
g a
stainless steel or ceramic dowel in order to 'stitch' the unit [in a compo=
site
manner ], thus restoring its structural integrity or even enhancing it. =
The
core is subsequently grouted.
