<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> In summary of the responses I received-- St. John's Wort is an herb. In it's pure form, it is gluten free. When it is extracted, it can be in either a grain alcohol, or glycerin base. It is also available in pill & capsule form. Since we know that grain alcohol is off limits, pills can be iffy, your best choices are either the glycerin base extract, or the dried herb used as a tea or capsules containing only the herb (as a single ingredient). Celestial Seasonings makes capsules (powdered SJW) with "St. Johns Wort" listed as the only ingredient.(Wal-Mart, Shopko) There are other brands that are gluten free as well, check w/ the manufacturer. *No $ ties ~Fran Western Oregon
