I've never heard of gelatine being considered dairy.  She is allergic to
milk protiens (casien and whey, i.e. dairy), but she can have other cow
products like beef which she loves.  As far as we know, she has no
problem with lactose because she was breastfed for over a year.
Breastmilk is loaded with lactose but the protiens are sufficiently
different from cows milk.
