Hello, I must have a string of bad lucks with TXPRO motherboards. First I bought a TXPRO II (M571) mobo with sound and video from a local computer show. I had to return it because I could not get the sound to work and I was getting all kinds of hardware errors when trying to install any software. When I received the replacement motherboard, it was still sealed in its anti-static bag and of course I was very careful not to damage it with static electricity. I hooked the mobo off the case first to check but it will not boot up or "post". The only thing moving is the cpu fan, so I know the mobo is getting power. I'm using a Cyrix P200L cpu, jumpered as 2.0x75. I checked and rechecked all the jumper settings including the correct voltage, and cpu type. I know this is a good working cpu because I just pulled it from one of my computers. Again nothing happened. I checked and rechecked the (2) 16meg EDO simms to make sure they are properly seated and on correct banks. (simms 1 and simms2) These are also good working rams from other computer. No luck. I then tried at least two other sets of EDO rams with no success. I also unplugged the onboard video cable and tried a regular video card. Still the mobo will not come alive. Finally I thought it had to be the CPU, so I pulled my working Intel 200mmx from my other computer, change the mobo jumpers to 3.0x66 and crossed my fingers. Still dead. Did I miss anything? Oh yes, not only did I test the mobo off the case but also tried it inside a brand new case. Actually that was not the end of my problem. I got the SAME result from another brand new TXPRO (M575) motherboard. I followed all the steps I mentioned above on this third motherboard. What COULD I being doing WRONG??? It is highly unlikely that I would have problems with ALL three motherboards. I may also add that this is not my first time in building computers. I had built few of them in the past with hardly any major problems. I had used a TXPRO before, about six months ago, with 83mhz bus speed and very happy with it. Are there any jumper settings I might have missed? Does any of you have problems with TXPRO M571 and M575 motherboards? Please I need HELP! My sincerely thank you for your time.
