I know the disks used in these are more expensive than > those used in the CD-R drives. Thanks for any advice you can give. Most (actually all I have seen) CD-RW drives can write to both media, either CD-RW (which is more expensive), or standard CD-R in the standard formats. A CD-RW disk may not be supported on all CD-ROM drives, especially those older than a year or so. I do know that the newer Plextor CDROM drives (12/20Plex and UltraPlex) will read CD-RW disks. A CD-R disk written on a CD-RW drive is the same as one written on a CD-R drive, and should be readable by most any CDROM drive. -- Russ Poffenberger Engineering Specialist Schlumberger Technologies ATE DOMAIN: [log in to unmask] 1601 Technology Drive CIS: 72401,276 San Jose, Ca. 95110 Voice: (408)437-5254 FAX: (408)437-5246
