<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I finally received a response from the Company that distributes BarleyGreen. The following is a message from Steve at AIM. I actually have a string of internal messages to and from Steve to other employees in the firm trying to determine what their customer service reps will say to inquiring customers. If you are using this product, and would like to receive this long email in its entirety, please email me directly and request a copy. You probably thought I forgot about responding back to you on the issue of Barleygreen and gluten. We have researched, had meetings, and shared e-mail correspondence in order to come to the following conclusions. We found that in order for AIM to quantitatively certify Barleygreen is "gluten-free" we would have to test each batch of product that we receive from our supplier throughout the year. The testing is not cheep, we estimated that it would cost the company around $9600 per year. The cost would increase as our sales increase. Management decided it would not be cost effective at this time. The following Q&A has been entered into our Product Database for our customer service reps to use. We also have a form letter stating the same. I'm sorry it took so long to respond with an answer. I'm also sorry this situation didn't work out in the favor of those people that suffer from Celiac disease. It is always possible that this decision may be changed in the future depending on the circumstances. Below you will find the company we communicated with for gluten testing in case your organization is interested in having a jar or two of Barleygreen tested for qualitative purposes (a simple yes or no to gluten in BG). The test cost is $200. Elisa Technologies Alachua, Florida 904-462-4546 Ask for: Bruce www.elisa/tek.com Have a great day! ***********************
