<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Nothing medical or definitive was mentioned. Seems like it's the lot of the Celiac to suffer this degrading affliction as well as all the rest. Mine seems to be better after I reassessed ALL topical and dietary ingredients. I'm still experiencing itchy scalp as well as other parts of my body. I guess I can live with this as the rest of me is healing after 3 months GF. You are all very supportive and I need each and every one of you. After my diagnosis I got my son's Pediatrician to do the Gliadin Blood test. As she was treating him for ADD(symptoms are VERY similar). Now they want him to try a diet challenge or do the biopsy. He has recently been to an Allergist who is starting to treat him for dust mites/tree pollen/molds. He is so crabby and hungry all the time. Yes, he responds better to the GF diet. Allergist says he thinks he can get him off the Ritalin with allergy shots. I have thought all along that it was allergies not ADD. Now I being proven right. We know our children best, stick with it until you get the help they need. He had tested neg. years ago for allergies. So retest if it has been some time. It seems like help is on the way for our little family. Yes, he has elevated gliadin antibodies in his blood. I need him to calm down before I approach him for a biopsy. This is hard when you are 11. But, he is happier knowing he is simply allergic not brain dysfunctional. How many ADD/ADHD children and Autistic and behavioral problems are really CD or Allergies? We need to help our children not give them Ritalin just because an MD or Educator says that's what to do. At lunch his school has a line for Ritalin Meds that is exceptionally long. It makes me sick. I have fought long and hard against the school and medical profession to help him and myself. Don't ever give up any of you. My Sincerest Regards- Penny-Vancouver WA USA
