For some strange reason I keep getting the error below when I try to use the
"Save as" feature in any Microsoft office application and I want to save it
in a folder other than the default.

If I use the "up one level" icon and manually point it to where I want to
save the file I can do that and save it where I want to.
I am real tired of pointing the save function to where I want to file to go
manually.

I have spent hours on the phone with Microsoft with both the win 95 and
Microsoft office tech support people. They are stumped. I have removed and
re installed Office.
I have also copied the kernel file in question from a win 95 CD to the
drive. With the help of Microsoft. And still it occurs.
Their final response is that they will pass it along to 3rd level and when
they find the answer they will notify me. 6 months has passed and no fix
has come up.

This really gets my goat. I have not run across anyone who knows how that
"save in " function
Actually works so I can go in and fix it. Somebody must know somebody wrote
it.
