You seem to be looking for a Word feature using a WordPerfect term.
Never mind reveal codes or tags, just look for styles.

To find out what style a paragraph is in, click in it and look at the
style menu area uptop.

To find out what the attributes are of the style in that paragraph,
make sure the non-printing characters are showing, and right-click on
the paragraph symbol at the end of that paragraph or block. Click on
Paragraph in the menu that pops up.
