Has anyone seen the following problem???
I installed a new Compaq Deskpro 200 last month and when the client opens a large spreadsheet (including macros) with Excel 97 the text in the cells start to fade within two minutes.
When he runs the same spreadsheet in Excel 5.0 he has no problem. The same spreadsheet used on another desktop with excel97 works fine.
No other application has caused the fading. Once it starts the fading will also effect his background and short cuts but not his taskbar. The only way to see information again is to reboot.
I have rescript Excel97, checked the display adapter, turned off any power options and it still fades.
Got any suggestions????
