<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I took a week long cruise on the Sun Princess in December, and they were really great about my gf dietary restrictions. I have taken cruises before, but this was the first time since I had been diagnosed with CD (by biopsy), so I was a little worried. My travel agent had notified Princess ahead of time that I had some dietary restrictions. The first evening, the head waiter came to me to discuss what I could eat and what I couldn't eat. From then on, every night he came with the next day's menu to ask what I wanted and to let me know what I could eat. Every night, there were things I could eat. Occasionally slight modification was needed - like no breading on therack of lamb or no sauce on something. The chef also made me a special dessert every night, although there was always ice cream and sorbet, and often fresh fruit as choices. I had a great time and no dietary problems at all. I was very impressed. United Airlines didn't fare as well. the flight to Florida, they had no record of the fruit plate I had ordered. Luckily they had a plain chicken breast as one of the choices - and it was a fairly short flight so I really didn't need to eat. I have no association with Princess Cruise Line other than as a satisfied customer. ---------------- Susan Picologlou (near Chicago, IL) [log in to unmask]
