<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I have apparently developed an intollerance or allergy to wheat. I've been aware for awhile that wheat caused a lot of gas, but recently I developed an itchy rash, similar to the rash I get from dairy products (after 50 years of lots of dairy products I developed an allergy to milk protein). I stopped eating wheat for about two weeks and the rash mostly disappeared. Then after eating wheat for breakfast and dinner Monday, I had the most obnoxious gas for two days and began itching again. My question - if I'm allergic to wheat, is it apt to be the gluten? Is there a chance that I will develop a reaction to all gluten? Does anyone know if digestive enzymes would help in the digestion of wheat? Thanks for any information you can give me. Pat
