There is also the issue of neuropathic celiac disease. That is, cd with
neurological symptoms. From 5% to 10% of us will demonstrate these
symptoms. I happen to be one of the lucky ones. By that I mean that my
neuropathic symptoms seem to have been almost completely resolved. But for
some the diagnosis and diet seem to have come too late to reverse the
process.

Because of the low level of clinical suspicion of cd, it would not surprise
me if many people who have been diagnosed with MS are actually suffering
from neuropathic cd. On the other hand, I do not think that all, or even
most, MS patients have celiac disease. But I think that most would benefit
from a gluten-free diet.
