Regret can't remember if Fat Phobia was thread on this list or
Paleofoods list so will post to both.
It's pretty standard now to have Fat Phobia mentioned every ten
seconds about food..people on TV cannot put *Anything* in their mouths
without a compulsive comment about the fat/calories/etc. But it is now
spilling over into **other** things!!!! HELP!!!!!
The June issue of Discover magz, p.37, has a *FULL PAGE* ad:
picture a CAR vertical, on a popsicle stick..large print below it says:
"0% Fat- 100% Fun.
The text goes on with food analogy words throughout: cool treat. No
extra calories..crave..get a taste..
This raises no/low fat to a religious belief..one so well known
and universally followed as to easily translate to other
objects/activities in our lives.
No company is going to pay for a full page ad unless they are
certain it will appeal to and be understood by a great majority of
readers. I am appalled by this and I say **Run for the hills!!!** it's
getting rilly serious! What next??? Lowfat gasoline?? Lowfat bureaus??
Have you seen anything more obsessive than this??
bewildered by a *Fat Free CAR!*
