Perhaps this has been covered before, but it is new for me so I will ask.
Before being diagnosed with CD (3 1/2 years ago) my cholesterol level was
great, 180-185. I realize it was because I wasn't absorbing anything. Well
my cholesterol level is still climbing, despite being on a GF low fat diet.
It is now up to 266, and the doctor is not happy, especially since heart
problems run in the family. Is this common with celiac? BTW before diagnosis
I was sickly skinny, I had gained 60 pounds after diagnosis, and have lost
20 of that since going low fat. I am quite frustrated by all this. Any
