Have you tried Knox unflavored gelatine in place of Jello?  I called Knox,
1-800-622-4726, one time and was told the gelatine is made from beef and
pork bones.  I use various fruit juices and add fruit for salads and
desserts.  It is better than Jello in that you can control the sweetness
and there are no colorings added.  I don't add sugar, the sweetnees of the
fruit is enough.
