<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Hi Here are some fast thougts on some fast foods. 1. There is no bad fast foods in general, just bad eating habits. If you consume some glutenfree fast foods once in a while you should not worry too much. If you eat fast food all the time as a stable diet you will probably be unhappy , have too much body fat and are over sugared. Not that there is anything wrong with that, you could just feel better if you have a more balanced diet. 2. Fast food chains are sucessful because a) they are driven by sales and very good at it and b) because they sell food very fast and usually fairly inexpensive to you. The preparation must not cause any hassle and shouild not distract any employee from selling the most food in the least time. That is their business goal and praxis. 3. Fast food Chains like any other business are driven by consumer demand and they spend a very large amount of time and resources in market research. They listen very carefully and respond very fast if they see a need. That is another reason why they are sucessful. So all of you go there tell the managers in person, take a group of 25 t0 50 people all at the same time and walk in there and order gluten free foods. They may not have what you are asking for at that tiem, but do that a few times on very busy days. Very effectful indeed. Keep writning those letters to the company. Include all your family members even if they are not glutenfree,do it on a local manager basis and on the corporate head office basis. They will listen at one point. I think organized actions are the most sucessful ones. 4.) Remember no body and no company in any food industry is purposely doing something to annoy you . They do not put gluten in their products so that you can not eat it. They simply do not have the knowledge, they do not see the demand, they do not have the nessary skill and glutenfree environment . You still have to educate every local person that will prepare your food to contamination problems. As they are humanm they will listen if given the chance. They have to know and learn if they get a complete glutenfree burger with buns and dressings etc. and they prepare it for celiacs that they cannot use the same part of the grill for example. Now to be quite forward: This is your job. Go out and educate, talk slowly and when they have time to listen. Leave written information and follow up. Than a few days later go in there with 50 people. There will be glutenfree foods after that. Ted Wolff
