<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I was going to respond to Karyn regarding her post, but I thought that there are more on this list that could help me. If anyone is interested in the results I will summarize and repost the info I get. Hi, very interested in your post. Maybe you could help me with a problem I have. I have two sons, the younger is celiac and probably ADHD (he's only 3.5), he follows a strict GF diet. The older one (6) is ADHD and has a mild language processing disorder (LPD), also bowel problems, mostly chronic constipation. He has been blood tested for celiac disease and the doctor said not a candidate for biopsy, ie negative results. Now my question, is autism related to ADHD, as one counsellor thought the older may have "slight autism" as he loves to make noises, whether they be repetative or not, loud or soft, whatever. How does a person go about getting a husband to conform to trying a GF/CF diet for the boys. Don Wiss, on this list said it may be helpful to try the boys on this diet. I had a hard time convincing my husband that the older boy was "different" and we should get him checked, it was always "he's just a boy". Finally when he was diagnosed with the LPD he had a hard time believing this, then when the ADHD was diagnosed, WOW. When I recommended trying the diet for a few months, it was like I asked him to try it. He had all kinds of excuses like, the restrictions, etc. Now I know some of the restrictions due to following the GF diet for myself and son, but I know nothing about how restrictive the CF diet is. Is there a list like this that I can get the info? Any "ammunition" you could throw my way would be extremely helpful. Thanx in advance for all advice.
