<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Hi everyone: I'm new to the list, and I'll be up front and tell you that I have no food allergies myself (that I know of), but my mother does, and she has no access to computers. I have recently found the book Food Fix: Meals That Heal, by Nancy Hamilton. It is for wheat- sugar- and dairy-free cooking. My question is this: How do the recipes in this book compare to others with these restrictions? I can make them myself, but have nothing to compare them against, since I am fortunate enough to be able to eat anything I like. The book is new (1996), but I hope someone here will have tried it. I would just buy it for my mom, but she is very bad at sticking to her diet, and gets easily discouraged by recipes that are difficult, tasteless, or "weird".
