<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I need something clarified on leaky gut, which is a gluten intolerance problem, but not a celiac problem. The theory is that in a gluten intolerant individual, the intestinal wall is more permeable & therefore allows "more efficient" absorption of what we've indiscriminately eaten into the capillaries/bloodstream. My question is, does that extend to fats? "True" celiacs have a problem with fat absorption, due to the atrophy of the intestinal wall...& I'm guessing that your cholestoral levels stay at a normal or below normal level. I am biopsied proven celiac, but not real reactive...and before I wised up and went dairy free, I was eating a lot of cheese. My cholesteral level was 240. Being one of the "apples", having a high cho reading, & strongly suspecting that I am gluten intolerant (having migraines & other associated problems in the family), I wonder if there's a connection between gluten intolerance, the leaky gut syndrome & the apple shape. I welcome your discussion. Bec
