<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Being a keen beer drinker myself I realise that there may be those on this list for whom such delights are impossible and I wondered if there was something that could be done about this sad situation. On our campus there exists a "Brew Centre" where people can train in this subject. Apparently many of our "graduates" have gone on to found their own micro-breweries in various parts of the world. It occurs to me that it should be possible to make a beer which can be guaranteed to be gluten free (or at least free from wheat, barley or oat prolamins). I have discussed it with the top man and he is quite keen to try out a few ideas. Clearly this would not be a great money spinner as the market is comparatively small but I just wondered if any of the folk who do have a problem with beer would be interested in such a project or think that it is worthwhile. If no-one is interested we will not bother. If anyone would be interested in such a product perhaps you could let me know. If there is an interest it would encourage further efforts in this direction. Cheers, Paul Shattock
