Gastrocrom has the same active ingredient - cromolyn sodium - as Intal
(asthma inhaler) and Nasalcrom (nasal spray).  I believe it is an anti-
inflammatory.  For both Intal and Nasalcrom, the patient info stresses
they are not of use during acute attacks, but must be taken regularly
for several weeks in order to act as a preventive for asthma and allergy
attacks.
 
There may be a chromium atom somewhere in the cromolyn molecule, I
haven't checked.  But the chromium we get in vitamin pills doesn't work
the same, if that's what you were hoping :@<
