In response to other postings, I wanted to point out that I consistently seem
to have had distinct gluten-type reactions to white vinegar.  I can't be
absolutely sure it's the vinegar alone -- it may be that vinegar somehow
compounds the effects of trace amounts of other gluten-containing products,
e.g., HVP, that may be contained in something like potato salad.  But my
reaction to foods with wheat vinegar in the past has been strong, and I've
been careful to avoid it. I don't have a problem with cider vinegar.
