I've heard that Edge works best with narrator. Does it work well with JAWS and NVDA? I find the easiest way to bring this up in Edge is to hit F9 to go into immersive reading mode. This will put a tool bar at the top of the page, so do something like hitting control+home to go to the top of the page and then the read aloud button will be something like the first thing on the second line. A tab or two will bring you to it. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-immersive-reader-microsoft-edge-chrom ium -- Christopher (AKA CJ) Chaltain at Gmail > -----Original Message----- > From: Visually Impaired Computer Users' Group List <VICUG- > [log in to unmask]> On Behalf Of Ricky Lomey > Sent: Thursday, July 23, 2020 9:13 AM > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: [VICUG-L] Hearing Google Chrome > > Hi again > > How does one get to the read aloud feature in both Microsoft Edge and Google > Chrome properly as opposed to just randomly or what some would call > coincidentally bumping into it while tabbing around on whatever site > one happens to be, is the F9 Immersive reader the same thing? > > Thanks. > > Ricky Lomey > > > VICUG-L is the Visually Impaired Computer User Group List. > Archived on the World Wide Web at > http://listserv.icors.org/archives/vicug-l.html > Signoff: [log in to unmask] > Subscribe: [log in to unmask] VICUG-L is the Visually Impaired Computer User Group List.
