WHO: International Women's Day convenes people of all backgrounds,
nationalities, races, economic levels, ages, languages, religions, educational attainments, and sexual orientations. All are welcome, and all are encouraged to wear purple!
WHAT: IWD is a celebration of all that women are and do! We come together to acknowledge women's accomplishments and explore ways to uplift
women in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin and beyond. This celebration will feature remarks from co-sponsoring units, a keynote speech by Mayor Satya-Rhodes Conway, a group poetry translation, and a global marketplace with flash talks from vendors! Lunch will
be provided.
WHEN: Saturday, March 7th, 2020, from 10am to 3pm
