Well, I’ve never had any luck using the search feature in Outlook, and with this additional hint I still can’t get it to give me any results.  Once the search is initiated where do I go to find results?

Thx, Albert

Hello all,

It appears that Control+e or f3 searching functionality has been fundamentally broken in the latest version of JAWS and Outlook 2016. Try using the advance search functionality by pressing control+shift+f.

Regards,

Pratik

Lisa, Steve, and all,

I hope you will share the solution publicly, because I have been struggling with this very thing for weeks.

I have Windows 10, Jaws 2018, Outlook 2016.  For months, I simply pressed F3, typed in the keyword (subject, sender, whatever) and pressed Tab to the Submit button.

It stopped working several weeks ago.

I have called Jaws support twice now, and neither of the tech support people could help me.

Searching for specific email messages is something I need constantly, and this inability to do so is driving me crazy!

Any help will be hugely appreciated!

Peace,

Deborah

Subject: [VICUG-L] question about using outlook with Jaws

Hi all,

I am a pretty new user to Jaws.  I was wondering if anyone could tell me about a command.

When you go into outlook and you would like to find a certain message in your messages that you have saved what do you do?

I have tried control e and f3.  I put in my search term into the edit box and press enter.  No matter what you do either arrowing up and down or tabbing you never come across a list of results that contain the words you put in.

Could someone please tell me the exact command to use and the exact steps to take to do a search.

Thanks very much.

Lisa
