captioning.
Can government agencies create
engaging and accessible social media content?
Yes! Learn how Minnesota enabled
social media “posters” to connect with more citizens.
This session will present an
overview of how accessibility standards apply to social media.
Participants will then dive into specific examples of how to
make popular social media postings accessible, from Facebook
and Twitter to GovDelivery. Along the way, they will learn
about the process Minnesota used to develop resources and
materials and solicit feedback from subject matter experts.
Participants will view examples of engaging content along with
some tools to create or test the content. Participants will
finish the session with key resources they can immediately use
to create accessible, engaging social content.
