Steve: I'm curious: What do you mean by a pre-fill file? And, in line with what you noticed, there were a ton of Rich's in the contest yesterday. ... I wondered what was up with that, and you may have provided the answer. Looking forward to the phone NAQP next week-end! I totally forgot the start time and was tied up with something else. Since I had done no CW with this radio before, I had to move some wires, connect the Winkeyer, and set up some things in the radio. It all went well, but I only put 100 in the log and went to bed. Only worked S and P and did some on all bands 160 through 10 meters. Just for the heck of it, I used a pre-fill file for the first time and found it pretty useful. Found a number of guys sending "Rich" as the name. I think in many cases it was in honor of KL7RA, who became a silent key in November. Plan to hit it a bit harder next weekend, and hope to see some of you. 73, Steve KW3A On 1/10/2016 3:08 PM, Tom Behler wrote: > Congrats, Mike, on a great effort. > > I ended up with 320 contacts in just under 10 hours of operating, and > will post more details once I work with my log a bit and view my stats > for each band. > > The NAQP contests continue to be up there among my favorites, during > the typical contest year, and I'm looking forward to the SSB event > next week-end. > > Tom Behler: KB8TYJ > > > -----Original Message----- > From: For blind ham radio operators > [mailto:[log in to unmask]] > On Behalf Of Mike Duke, K5XU > Sent: Sunday, January 10, 2016 2:42 PM > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: My NAQP CW QSO Party run > > The contest got off to a good start with a reasonable 10 meter > opening, and good conditions on 15.
