If you could possibly advise model number of the Toshiba, I’m happy to try look up a manual on Google and see what it says.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Disabling the Touchpad on a Toshiba Laptop
Hi all. I’m all out of ideas on how to turn off the touchpad. We’ve tried Fn F9 and F5 without success. I’ve also gone into the Control panel and couldn’t find any way to disable it. Help!
