Tom, you might try using some rubber cement. Rubber Cement should do the trick, but yet, it will not damage your equipment and you will be able to remove the lavles quite easily if you ever want/need to, and then, the recidule rubber cement can very easily be rubbed off, leaving your equipment like new.
