A two day conference on Senegambian Music and History will take place at SOAS University of London, from 24–26 June 2015, 10am-8pm. The venue is: Vernon Square, SOAS (Room: V111)

The conference is organised by Drs Lucy Duran and Toby Green and will bring together various academics, historians, artists, and musicians in order to analyse the relationship of identities through music and history.

I was told by my colleague Hassoum Ceesay, of the NCAC in Banjul, that you mgiht be able to disseminate information fo this forthcoming workshop (attached) in London, of interest I think to the whole community.

It is convened by Lucy Duran (SOAS) and myself (KCL), and is entitled "Identities in Greater Senegambia and Beyond: Approaches Through History and Music in Dialogue".
