Butch: All of this makes me really wish I had bought two TW1 SWR/watt meters when they were available from LDG a number of years ago. I know the meters aren't the greatest, but they really do seem to serve as a good tuning aid, in my exxperience. If you use the external, just bypass internal. Just because it will tune doesn't mean it will get out, might and might not. Remember, a dummy load has a 1 to 1 swr, but don't radiate well at all.
