Love

I appreciate your thoughts and agree that salvation alone is only the beginning of our  walk with God Because I love God, I will forgive those who hurt me, I will seek to live my life in a way that honors Him. I remember I am imperfect and make mistakes. Since I received mercy and grace, I try to give the same to others I pray I will have a heart that listens so that I can hear God and learn from others.

Blessings!

Rhonda,

Of course love is important but none of us, when we stand before the Lord, will be judge by God and His Word based upon our love for others; we will be judge by the truth of His Word and that alone.  You cannot be born again just because you say you love God.  If we are not willing to obey His word, you can't be born again.  That is the difference between salvation alone and Lordship Salvation.  Who was it that said if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything?

Subject: Love

I havve been concerned with the debating-arguing of late. Each side believes they are right regarding some aspect of their Christian faith. My question is this: is being right more important than showing love? I'm not Catholic. I do however respect that some Christians may have differing views than I. I wonder how it will be when we are all with God for eternity, will we forget our arguments? Will He ask us why we spent so much time trying to prove our point instead of learning to love Him and others more? I just wonder.

In His Love
