Business Analyst I or II – Enrollment/Customer Service

The primary focus of this position will be supporting Enrollment and Customer Service. The Business Analyst (BA) position plays a key leadership role in supporting Unity’s business processes, systems and customers and bridges the needs of the business with the use of Information Technology.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Working with business groups, management and vendors, analyzes, develops and documents detailed business requirements and business processes for proposed solutions to business initiatives.
·        Working closely with system analysts and a variety of end users to ensure solution compatibility and user satisfaction.
·        Supports troubleshooting and research to determine root causes of issues including such areas as communication, process, training, system defects or other gaps.
·        Develops detailed business/User Acceptance test scenarios and test cases. Executes user acceptance test plans and cases and documents results. 
·        Working closely with Project Managers, demonstrates leadership on project teams and acts as a resource during project planning and testing stages of the project. Advises team members on how to resolve analytical problems. 
·        Providing business user application support. 
·        Recommends standards, procedures and process improvements.
·        Candidate must understand business unit activities, goals, and critical success factors that influence systems applications.

Claims Investigator

Unity Health Insurance, a leader in the managed care industry, is seeking an energetic, top-notch individual to join our team. This position is responsible for detecting, investigating and resolving claim coding and compliance issues as well as instances of healthcare fraud.

The primary responsibilities of this role involve:
  • Detecting and investigating claim cost risk areas.
  • Preparing audit plans to address high risk audit issues.
  • Working independently and in a team environment that may be comprised of medical professionals, claims analysts, compliance, provider relations/contracting staff and auditors.
  • Coordinates and conducts medical record review and claim audit activities with appropriate staff to ensure findings are supported by medical documentation.
  • Perform analysis and make recommendations to claims adjuster.
  • Work as key member of special investigative unit.
  • Report results to internal compliance committee.
  • Assist with preparing quarterly outcome reports on audit findings.

The successful candidate will possess these qualifications:
  • Certified as a facility hospital coder (RHIT or CCS), Certified Legal Nurse Investigator (CLNI), or nurse (RN or LPN).
  • Four years claims related experience, with advanced knowledge of coding, fee and reimbursement, and claims processing policies and procedures. 
  • Experience reviewing and understanding medical records, preferably in a hospital facility setting.
  • Strong understanding of governmental medical payment policies/regulations and update process (CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and DHS).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Experience working with healthcare providers.
  • Epic healthcare software and/or claim coding compliance software knowledge desirable.
 
Salary range:  $52,000-$64,000

Customer Relations Supervisor - Enrollment

Unity Health Insurance, a locally owned and operated health insurer based in Sauk City, Wisconsin is looking for an energetic individual to join our Enrollment and Distribution Service Department as a Customer Relations Supervisor. We are looking for someone highly motivated to work with our Enrollment Service Representatives and Distribution Service Specialists who process daily enrollment eligibility files and operate the Distribution Center. The supervisor will co-manage the day-to-day functions of the enrollment and distribution areas; oversee process and work distribution, assuring adequate staffing, making adjustments to work flows as necessary and monitoring budgetary requirements.
 
Candidates should have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle several activities and projects at one time. The successful candidate must be committed to maintaining and enhancing the high level of service our customers are accustomed to receiving.
 
Requirements include:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Financial Analyst II or III (Health Informatics Analyst)

Duties include:
  • Health/claims data analysis and financial modeling to support the contract negotiation process with providers across Unity’s service area.

  • Support the reporting and analytical needs for HEDIS, quality initiatives and pay for performance programs.

The ideal candidate would be placed into a level II or III position depending on background and level of skills.
 
Candidates would have the following:                                               
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health Care Administration, Medical Informatics, Business Management or related field is required.
  • 2 - 4+ years of relevant experience in the following areas: Healthcare analytics including provider reimbursement, claims/medical utilization and expense, underwriting, medical coding and healthcare quality.
  • Must be familiar with NCQA HEDIS standards and technical specifications in order to build data queries and complex analyses.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated skill with MS Excel (pivot tables, link workbooks, macros, etc.). 
  • Proficiency and demonstrated skill with query tools (Business Objects, MS Access, and MS SQL) and relational databases is very beneficial.
  • Inquisitive, well-organized, and creative in analytical approach and presenting findings to management.
  • Highly motivated to resolve issues on a timely basis and with an attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to be applied with internal staff and external parties. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadline-oriented.
