Hello Burama,

I join you in mourning for Saint Mandela.

Dictatorship is a description of character generally in the political governance and administration realm. It is developed over time through an accumulation of actions. Barring culprit action, you will be hard-pressed to label someone a dictator.

Until DEMOCRATICA comes out (for the how and why), I'd like you to share with us someone/animal/plant who Burama knows to be a dictator. First we will determine together whether he/she/it qualifies as dictator. Then we will try to understand why the dictator is a criminal.

I must warn you that to become a dictator or not is virtually beyond your purview as will be explained in DEMOCRATICA. What is within your purview is to guide your tendencies and to live considerate life vis-a-vis your fellow. When you commit the first crime against your fellow, you may not even know you have committed a crime unless you are prosecuted for it, and you may go right along compounding your crimes especially if you are above the law (you are the judge, jury, executioner, police, investimagator, coroner, undertaker, priest, imam, Yahya) - as a dictator.

Thank you again for the opportunity. I look forward to the conversation.

Haruna.

Over the last 48 hours or so I have being thinking over dictator(ship) in humans
in relation to crime. I have also scout arums many possible sources for
reference on empirical work. Much of what I found is more about 'what's
dictator(ship). This is good but my curiosity is not what it is rather why
humans bear the tendency to be dictators if not checked properly?

On my thought the dictatorship and crime are different, here are few you may
elaborate. That crime is a legal term which is relative to the laws of the place
under consideration. For instance smoking under 18 in many states in US if not
all is a crime but not in Gambia. On the other hand dictatorship is a conceptual
term, also relative to the beholder, but generally referencing a type of rule
directed by the wishes of few over many with or without their consent

I am in total agreement that dictators many crimes, yet they're different in my
mind.

I am longing for your book particularly on how plant and other animals also have
tendencies of dictatorship. I understand the territorial nature of being
fighting for survival, yet am not sure if that fits the definition of
dictatorship. Regardless my curiosity on that too would be why and not what.

Finally my overall interest is for us (Gambians) to come together to find
solutions for the problem in our homeland. My views are not so important in the
bigger picture compared to what we do or not do. Do you remember I once called
you to introduce myself but also to say we should come together however hard it
maybe. I am still committed to that basic because our problems will not be
solve. Y non-Gambians nor will they be fix in America/Europe.

Please share your insight on the above!

May Mandela rest in peace!

Regards!

Burama
