Neneh Bojang-Touray, head of IAC Norway spoke at length on family crisis problem among Gambians in Diaspora. But she is also bold to state that, "Polygamy is something hard for women to accept." She said, "I hand it over to women who will accept it. The pressures from parents in Africa cause many marriages leading divorces. Women are not seen as those in marriage, but rather, as hustlers, equal to their husbands in Europe and America. Hence, both men and women are seen as breadwinners. The level of poverty is the reason, women too have to work and look after their side of the family. Women cannot come from work, tired and then be expected to look after the home, like those in Africa with all the social networks." Neneh Bojang @kibaaro radio all day today. You can also catch the full tribute in English of BB Darboe to the late Hassan Musa and an old Kaabou kora tune. Another Gambian feminist declare, "polygamy is an oppression on women". We will bring her in the coming weeks. http://kibaaro.com/unconditionally-release-mahawa-cham-saul-ndow/
