                                        Uncle Saba,

Thanks a million. Gainako's blessings and successes goes back to all of you great guardians, contributors, sponsors, readers and well wishers. Entire Team Gainako is greatly humbled by the good relationship we continue to have with Gambians and friends of the Gambia. We are able to continue operations because of the support we continue to receive despite the limited resources and time under which we operate.

On sunday 9/15/13, we had Pa Samba Jow (Freedom Newspaper), Musa Saidykhan (Kibaroo), Omar Bah (American Street News), Bubacarr Sowe (The Gambia Dispatch) and Demba Baldeh (Gainako) on Radio to discuss the achievements of the online media and some the challenges facing the online media. It was such a nice and educative review.

Gainako came to complement the efforts of others in
the struggle both as an independent alternative voice and a weapon to empower the oppressed. It also puts a check to all forms of censorship. Dictatorship takes many forms. While we dealing with dictatorship, we must continue to expose those sinking the Gambia and prepare the nation for the next level.

We will continue to do the little within our reach. In real life, all we have is just to try. We do not fold our hands and expect the heaven will fall down to our knees. We all have to toil for it. The Gambia belongs to all of us and we all have equal interest in seeing Gambians being free from body and mental chains.

Chris:

Thanks a million. Demba would like to hang the Jallows as always. (lol). Jokes aside, we continue to have you Chris as both an educator and an inspiration on the things that matter. As we celebrate Gainako's 7th , we celebrate the many great hearts and minds like
 you.

On jarajeff!

Yero.

A Poem: The Cattle in their Rows

By Omar Joof
In rows refine like nature
The cattle return from the fields

Their heads in a fine line
The rhythm of their feet baffling
Everyone is kept in the rows
The cattle keep in their rows
Following paths created by habit
The regular thumbing of feet
Moving to and from feeds

Keeping strictly to basic needs
The cattle remain in their rows
Rushing to their sheds
Cows with calves hurrying
Bulls pronouncing commands
All maintain natural roles
The cattle are in their rows

Herdsman protecting from behind
Dog moving up and down the rows
A splendor of dust on the horizon
Moving into security of sheds
The cattle in their rows
After feeding in the fields
Moving back to sheds

The majesty of their cohesion
Beauty of nature at work
