We are flying to Asuncion, Paraguay next week and will be there for 2 weeks. We speak Spanish, and trust our ability to find GF foods in restaurants and markets, but are curious to know more about the acceptance of requesting GF food at someone's home.

It is possible that we will be invited to the home of some colleagues but we are unsure about how to disclose our GF requirements. We can, of course, explain that it is a medically necessity, but how likely is this explanation to be understood?

If you have traveled to Paraguay, I would appreciate any information you can share with us, a family with small children. We want to avoid offending someone who invites us to their home and possibly to dinner. We are a family of 4 and all GF. The father is celiac.

Thanks,
JB
