Whatever. Paris would not launch violent attacks against gay and lesbian conveners who simply wanted to talk about literature. Until all citizens of Ghana are full citizens, Accra, and all African cities that share its dark age and discriminatory views regarding sexuality, should remain off any tourists list, and they should visit South Africa instead. (Where, also, African Americans won't run the risk of being derogatorily being called "slave baby.")
What a frightening day for "public policy."

(CNN) -- With only a 45 minute flight separating Lagos and Accra, you'd think I'd have been to Ghana at least once in my 22-year existence. Unfortunately until July 2013, the concepts holiday and Africa have never gone together in my head.
