"Christhood is
Christhood only in proportion as it recognizes Christhood as a universal state
of being. As long as it sets itself up as Christhood, it is not Christhood.
Christhood is the recognition of God as the central theme of man's being. The very
moment you realize God to be the activity of animal, vegetable, mineral, you
are, in that degree, showing forth Christhood, but it is necessary to recognize
it as universal being. In recognizing as universal being, do you see what
happens in the nature of `loving thy enemies?' The enemies disappear.
Do you see what happens in the nature of `loving
thy neighbor as thyself?' Even thy neighbors disappear, and it all becomes
`thy' self. There are no longer friends and no longer enemies, it is the One
self. It is the God Self appearing as infinite individuality, as infinity of
people and things.
Even Abraham who was the Father of the Hebrew
race, which places him in the same category of the Hebrew race perhaps as Jesus
is a Christian, even Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek. In other words, it
makes no difference who you are, what your name or station in life as a human,
always pay tithes." ~Joel
You may say
that you believe that you are Divine Consciousness, but, how many can live that
belief as Reality just like Pa Dacoster? I have studied the teachings of most of the written and spoken words of Master
Mystics and learn from all of them regardless of religion or philosophy.
Therefore, there is no direct doctrine that I follow, only the desire for Truth
and love is my religion and doctrine.
The Path that is found in all Mysticism is found in the words of a Christian
Mystic Saint that said when asked about what teachings to follow in spiritual
life was; " LOVE, and do as You Will". (I think, what he meant here,
is the fact that, when one started from love, one cannot do anything beyond
love). It is because of LOVE we exist in this world because of LOVE we have scientists’
inventors’ writers teachers, the list go on. What is there that LOVE didn’t
create? If life goes sunder, then check yourself properly before blaming
others. You might be violating the rules of LOVE.
LOVE is the purpose of existence in any manifested and unmanifested forms. If
the solution to a problem isn't obvious, then you are not really naming the
problem. The problem towards the unification of Gambians and Africans as a
whole is lack of LOVE for each other. This however will dissipate when we are
ready to accept divergent views. We fail many a times due to self-righteousness
and refusal to trust and allocate responsibilities to others. If you take me as
your minister, why should you take someone else to watch my back? Why can’t you
let me decide for my ministry till the time of check and balance?
I cannot
dictate what others must do or ought to do. That is not my province. It is for
me to dictate only what I will do before the end of my life in this world. I watch
out for being self-righteous, self-pleased, self-honoring, because then I will
be full of judgment. I avoid Judgment like a disease. Why? It is not good for
me, and it is not good for the object of my concerns. I term Judgment like
having a Mallet in my hand and stroking another child of God on the head.
Whether the ones I criticize are within hearing distance or not is irrelevant
because my negativity reaches them anyway. My thoughts are heard. They are
heard around the world, whether I realized it or not; and yes, one way or
another, they come back to haunt me. That is why I am avoiding being judgmental.
I made my opinion on issues that have been bordering me yet could not have
answers to them.
For me; that
which is beyond understands is that which counts. That which is known doesn’t
need my approbation. It doesn’t need me at all. Encyclopedias are filled with
all the known, the examined, the applauded. That which cannot be examined is
the fuel of my life.
I think life
on Earth is not a set-up, but a made up just like the way a bed is made up. It
is for us to lie on it. We lie on it. We live on it. We never look at the bed
we lie on. As we lie on it, we look up at the sky above; beyond the sky, beyond
where we lie that is where Heaven exists for us. What we failed to realize or
should I say “what they failed to teach us or make us realized”, is the fact
that Heaven lies within the very bed. We have the power within us to be our own
contract to determine whether we want to stay small or big in other words, to
determine our future through love and support. We are our own astronomer only
if we have the courage to imagine our life and how we want the future to be
shaped by meditation or contemplation. We are the Vastness that seems to be
held out away from our reach, and, yet, it is within us and within our reach
but fear are the enemy between us and that joyful destination. Fear of dying
fear of the unknown or unfamiliar place and the angry God that will finally
destroy us and putting us into hell fire.
If so why will
God set-up Adam and Eve after knowing the power He install to Satan to compete
with Him? Did he inform Adam and Eve about the power given to Satan? No, He
just told them not to eat the apple period. And tell human not to do this or
that without explaining why, brings curiosity to his/her mind. Angels cautioned
God according to both Quran and bible; why are you putting human on earth? They
will be disobedient, killing one and other committing every horrendous sin. God
replied I know what you know not. Therefore after knowing all these and the
information from the angels but bring us in earth anyway. Why then will be put
us in hell fire??? Is that logical? Men let us revisit our religion and
refurbish the people about the real messages the prophets delivered. Our
behaviors took their roots from our religious believes.
In
whatever research I did, my intentions are seeking more awareness of myself. I
may look through a microscope, yet what I am seeking is the Greatness Within me
given by my creator. This Greatness is constant, yet seems intangible. This
that I seek, that all seek whether aware of it or not, is our true self, the
Self that exists beyond the details of existence that lies beyond disagreement.
It is the One True Self that I seek. We have been squeezed into shoes way
too small for us. We have been seemingly squeezed into shoes when the truth is
that our heart is vast and unbounded. There is no way we can fit into the
perceived measurements of life. Continue in part (2)
