A good response, lets hear Joe's side of the story. If Mr Sanneh wasn't thrown  in the truck, where was he thrown? A good discussion none the less. Thanks Mr Sanneh for a mature response. Suntou

What you call 'POSITIONING' is called "REPRESENTING" in the real world. Don't be a bigot!     - Sidi Sanneh breaks it down for Joe Sambou
Mr. Sambou,
When you've spent the most productive part of your life away in distant lands, struggling daily with the art of survival ( I know, I have lived it too ), you tend to miss out on what obtains in the real world.  You, therefore, tend to view everything through the prism of a world completely devoid of reality through no fault of your own.  I will, however fault you when you accuse me of, what you immediate detect as "POSITIONING", impugning motive for someone you've never met.  What you call ' ' is called "REPRESENTING" in the real world.  I was not at the Bank dispensing advise selectively.  I was there as representative of a Constituency of which The Gambia was a tiny part.  Despite its size or my nationality, the country received the same quality of representation as Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana and Sudan.  Please do a little bit of research before you make a fool of yourself in the eyes of those who take the time to dig in a little bit deeper than engage in 'vous' talk.  You appear lazy for your youthful age because you seem stuck in 2001 still, your language, your ideas - nothing has changed but the world has changed in dramatic fashion.  Move on Joe Joe Sambou.  In your own little world, you believe the only way to gain attention and relevance is to rail, roll and eviscerate for 15 years and at anyone who dares hold a view different from your own, in the realm of politics, religion or tribal affiliation.  The definition of such a person is a 'bigot.'  That you are - and I mean it in the most complimentary way.  Maybe your Nouakchott sojourn will help you see the real world you've incubated yourself from for thirty-odd years.

You accused me of two things which I'd like to address - that I was a subject of the Paul Commission and that I was arrested and thrown behind a truck.  I will repeat what I have said in the interview, I was never a subject of any Commission of Inquire of any kind, neither in the Jawara nor in the Jammeh regime.  My hands are clean, are yours?  About the other accusation, I was never arrested much less thrown behind a truck with Tombong, I assume, you are referring to Tombong Saidy.  As hard as this may appear to comprehend, I do not know Tombong Saidy.  I never met Tombong Saidy and we shared Banjul for a year or two. Well, I could be wrong - it was dark and we couldn't make each other out in the truck.   You are lying; unless you provide proof.  Otherwise, I demand retraction.  I want no apology from you, not from someone who employ McCarthyite tactics.  You've been at this for over a decade with nothing constructive to show for it, expect sowing more seeds of discord and suspicion.  No wonder you have been accused of being a mole, an accusation you have yet to dispel.  Members of your family form the core support of Yaya Jammeh, and yet you accuse others of complicity.

Fatou Jaw Manneh conducted an honest interview.  She was accorded the opportunity to ask follow up questions and she did follow up on several issues.  It is fluff to Joe Sambou because it revealed something contrary to the picture you've tried to paint of this monster named Sidi Sanneh who you knowingly and falsely accuse of stealing public monies, leading to his subsequent arrest and thrown behind a truck.   Folks have now seen another narrative so different from what St Joe Sambou and members of his Tabernacle Choir has attempted to peddle for a decade without success.  As I said in the interview, you are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.  The important folks are family, friends, colleagues ( past and present ) and most important of all, are those ordinary Gambians that I tried to serve to the best of ability as a public servant.

I will debate you on THE FACTS but only if you stop muddying the waters with invectives and obfuscations. I am not surprised that you do not place high premium on 'results-based' approaches to solving problems because you are allergic to facts which will only help reveal your bigotry.   Slash-and-burn suits you fine because you thrive in manufactured adversity and discord to advance your own agenda.

Sidi Sanneh
